Q. Can we bring children?
Children of all ages are welcome at Chewton Glen.

Some bedrooms can accommodate one foldaway bed (at an extra charge of £60.00 per bed). Please contact us and let us know your requirements.

The indoor pool is available to children aged between 5 and 14, from 9.00am to 10.30am and again from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. During the summer months children may use the outdoor pool during daylight hours. A responsible adult must accompany children.

Q. Can children use the spa, gym and hydrotherapy pool?
The minimum age for treatment therapies and to use the other areas of the spa, including the hydrotherapy pool, outdoor whirlpool, gym, saunas and steam room is 18 years.

What time can we dine with Children?

Advance booking is required.

Supper if taken in the restaurant for children up to the age of 4 years is from 18.00 to 19.00pm (last orders 19.00pm). If parents wish to dine with their young children at this stage please note the Lounge Menu is available.

After 20.00pm, children of 5 years old and above may dine with their families at leisure in the main restaurant. The Bar is strictly an adult's only area. 24 Hour Room service is also available.

Q. Do you have a broadband internet connection?
Yes, you can connect your PDA or notebook computer to broadband using our wireless network. As long as your computer is wireless enabled you can use a broadband connection Free of Charge while staying with us. Further details can be found in our Wireless Internet Access guide.

Q. Are there facilities for those with special needs and disabilities?
The hotel has a number of rooms at ground floor level. Please advise us on booking of any disability, so we can ensure a comfortable stay. At Chewton Glen we treat our guests as individuals and therefore we have a range of facilities catering for people of all abilities.

Q. Is smoking permitted on the premises?
Chewton Glen is a "No Smoking" venue. A dedicated smoking area is available outside for guests.

Q. Do you cater for people with special dietary needs?
Should you have any specific dietary needs please advise the hotel when making your reservation.

Q. Is there a dress code?
Chewton Glen does not have a dress code, however we politely request that during the evenings guests wear a jacket at dinner.

Q. Can we bring pets?
Chewton Glen cannot accommodate dogs or other pets within the hotel or its grounds. However, arrangements can be made for dogs to be boarded at good local kennels.

Q. Coming and going?
Your room should be ready for you by 3pm on the day of your arrival. Guests arriving before this time will be made most welcome and can use the hotel's facilities until their bedroom becomes available. Departing guests should vacate their bedrooms by 12 noon. They can however continue to use the facilities until they wish to depart. If you require a later checkout please ask reception, there is an extra charge for this facility.

Q. Can mobile phones be used on the premises?
Guests are requested not to use mobile telephones in any of the public areas.

Q. What should I be aware of when making a reservation?
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and Chewton Glen Hotels Ltd.

Any reservation cancelled within 7 days of the date of arrival is liable to be charged at 100% of the quoted rate times the number of nights booked. However, if we are able to re-let the room no charge will be made. All reservations are subject to availability. You are advised to take out suitable travel insurance.

Please book all spa treatments prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.

Q. At what times are meals available?
Breakfast 7.30 am - 10.30 am
Luncheon 12.30 pm - 1.45 pm
Afternoon Tea 3.00 pm - 5.15 pm
Dinner 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm

A table for dinner in the restaurant is automatically reserved for guests enjoying the inclusive tariff. Please discuss your preferred dining time with reception on arrival. For lunch, we recommend booking a table in advance, particularly on Sundays and Bank Holidays. If you prefer to eat in your room, this can easily be arranged, although there is a supplement.

Room service is available to hotel residents, 24 hours a day, during restaurant hours, the luncheon and dinner menus are available. Outside restaurant hours, we offer a limited 24-hour room service menu.
