Hiking & Walking

There are many walking and jogging trails within the grounds. These include the many formal walks within the New Forest and all are easily available a short drive from the hotel. Please ask at reception for more information.

Beach walk through the grounds of the Hotel

One of the lesser known walks and a must for any visit to Chewton Glen is the walk through the grounds to the sea. Enjoy an approximate 1km stroll through our grounds, via a picturesque scenic wooded path right out onto the sea front at Highcliffe-On-Sea.

From here you can walk along to Highcliffe Castle for high tea or relax on the sandy beach. For the more energetic you can take the coastal walk to the historic fishing town of Christchurch and Mudeford Quay. We provide directions from reception and even have Wellington boots in all sizes available for guests if the weather is inclement or if you have left yours at home.
