How to Spa at Chewton Glen
Many of the guests at our spa hotel in the New Forest have enjoyed our facilities on previous visits, but if you have never been to a spa before you may find the below useful to help guarantee the complete enjoyment of your experience.
During treatments at our luxury spa resort, it is quite normal to wear underwear, a dry costume or a towel if you wish. We also provide disposable underwear. Chewton Glen Health Spa therapists will ensure you are modestly covered with towels at all times.
You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire prior to your treatment and your therapist will know what to look out for and advise accordingly. However, to avoid disappointment, should you have a contagious condition, recent operation or any serious condition, please speak with our Spa Reception for advice on suitable treatments to choose.
Mothers to Be:
During your first 12 weeks of pregnancy we do not recommend any form of treatments using essential oils and massage. Reiki, mini manicures and pedicures only are recommended during this time. After the first trimester, pregnancy massage is available utilising our specially designed pregnancy couch.
Our luxury health spa is open from 6.30am until 10pm Monday to Friday and 6.30am to 9pm Saturday and Sunday. Beverages and light refreshments are available in the Pool Bar Lounge between 8am until 8pm. A wonderful buffet lunch is available between 12 noon and 4pm and you are welcome to dine in your bath robe.
If you need to cancel your booking we ask for 24 hours notice, any cancellations made after this time will be charged at full rate unless we re-sell the allotted appointment. Spa Day bookings require a 48 hour cancellation.

We try to create and retain a tranquil healing environment for our guests. However, hotel guests with children under the age of 14 years staying at Chewton Glen may use the indoor pool between 9am - 10.30am and 4pm - 5pm. Times will be strictly adhered to and children must be accompanied by an adult.
For health and safety reasons the minimum age for young people to use other areas of the spa, including the hydrotherapy pool, outdoor whirlpool, gym, saunas and steam room is 17 years.
Points on Safety:
Although trained staff are on duty in the spa, we do not have any dedicated lifeguards watching the pools. If you suffer from high blood pressure, have recently been unwell or believe you may be pregnant you should not use the saunas, steam rooms, hydrotherapy pool or outdoor hot tub.
Please ask a member of our gym team to show you how to use the gym machines. The Spa is equipped with plenty of showers and it is particularly important to that you shower to remove any oil before using the pools and after using the sauna and steam rooms.
We always strive to make every visit to the health spa a relaxing and enjoyable experience, provisions for guests with disabilities have been made and we would be happy to discuss any special requirements. Our staff will be pleased to offer every assistance if you have mobility difficulties or other special requirements.
In consideration for other users, the spa is a mobile free zone and is also a non smoking area.
We have a wide choice of leisure activities available such as Aerobics classes, Yoga, Personal training, Wellness Enhancements, Tennis and Tai Chi, Golf and Croquet.
