It's a Gin Thing

Midweek from £205 per person

Join Martin Jennings, Craft Distiller of multi-award-winning Pothecary Gin, for an entertaining day of enjoying and making gin. Martin shares his distilling knowledge and expertise, guiding you through the world of gin, from its history to its current resurgence, exploring the fabulous world of botanicals, their aromas and flavours, learning the art and skill of selecting botanicals to create your very own blended gin, developing the skill of blending gin and how to expertly make some classic gin cocktails.

Plus no cookery school experience would be complete without food so staying true to the theme of the day we will provide you with a gin themed lunch, with some dished pared with gin and others used in their cooking. As well as leaving with a wealth of knowledge you will also have your very own blended 500ml bottle of gin to share with friends and family.

Arrive – 9.30am for refreshments, meet and greet with Martin and a run through of the day.

In the middle of the day we will break for lunch around the chef’s demonstration area. We will provide lunch all accompanied with a glass of wine. During the day we will show you around our kitchen garden and pop into our beautiful greenhouse, introducing you to our gardeners if they are tending to the beds at the time.

Finish – 3.30-4.00pm, take home your creations and The Kitchen apron.
