Darren Venables has been the Estate Manager for over 15 years and will shortly celebrate a quarter of a century association with Chewton Glen. His close working relationship with Managing Director, Andrew Stembridge has been pivotal in the concept of our beautiful walled Kitchen Garden.
On Monday 29th June, Darren and bee-keeper Rob Oliver will take you on a tour of the Estate grounds to discuss the bee project and the challenges of producing sufficient nectar and pollen for the ever growing colonies of bees. Darren will discuss planting schemes that have been introduced with bees in mind; wild flowers, bedding plants, trees and shrubs all producing an abundance of nectar to feed our thriving bee family.
