Dining at Chewton Glen

Please be aware that on arrival at the Restaurant or Hotel you will be required to have your temperature checked. If you temperature is over 38 degrees, you will be refused entry and asked to return home.

Changes to your Booking

Should you have any questions or if we can be of any further help to make your visit even more special, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you should need to amend your reservation please give us as much notice as possible by email or phone.

Gift Vouchers

If you are using a gift voucher when dining with us please make sure to bring it with you or sadly we cannot redeem it against your bill.

Special requests and Dietary requirements

If not already discussed, please advise us if you have any special requests, dietary requirements or allergies and please also advise if an epipen is carried by the guest. Please note that any comments put in the booking notes is not a direct message to reservations and these details must be discussed or emailed directly.

Service Charge

A discretionary service charge of 12.5% will be added to your bill, which goes directly to the whole team.

Directions for the Main Hotel

Please avoid using Sat Navigation as it does not work well in the New Forest. As well as avoiding some of the busier villages in the New Forest, these printed directions will bring you to the hotel via a quieter and more picturesque route: Please click here for directions.

Directions for The Kitchen Restaurant

On arrival at Chewton Glen, please use the entrance on Chewton Farm Road. Follow the driveway towards the hotel and take the first right for The Kitchen car park. The Kitchen also has a drop off zone and small disabled car park which adjoins the entrance should this be required.

Cancellation Policy

Chewton Glen reserves the right to withhold your payment in full for any bookings cancelled. This reflects any cost incurred by Chewton Glen in terms of staff, food or beverage booked or ordered specifically for your group or party, and any lost revenue as a result of turning other bookings away.

Credit Card details will be required to confirm your booking. All credit card details are kept PCI compliant.

The Dining Room

About your Reservation and The Dining Room (does not apply to The Kitchen at Chewton Glen)

The time you have booked your reservation is when we will always do our best to ask you to take your seat. Therefore, if you wish to enjoy a drink in the lounge, bar or on the terrace, please arrive 30 minutes before your reservation.

Ordinarily, we leave you in peace to enjoy your aperitif and the menu will be presented to you at your table. If you would particularly like to peruse the menu whilst enjoying your drink please do not hesitate to ask.


Parties over twelve are advised to book a private room, we cannot guarantee that parties occupying more than one table will be seated close to each other. Moreover, table orders would be treated individually and not as one group.
