The Taste of Hampshire

£95 per person

Join Chef Tutor Steve Bulmer for a full day cookery class featuring produce from our local suppliers. Steve will take you on a gastronomic tour of Hampshire, celebrating some of our favourite producers such as Lyburn cheese, Chalkstream trout and New Forest venison.

During this class you will learn to create some exquisite dishes such as Wild mushroom velouté with Lyburn Cheese croutons, Chalkstream trout en papiotte with fennel salad, Pan fried New Forest venison steak on a lentil, watercress and herb purée and Pear Charlotte with Poire William.

So join us and celebrate the fantastic taste of Hampshire at The Kitchen Cookery School.

  • Lybern cheese, leek and mushroom pithivier, watercress salad
  • Fricasse of Chalkstream trout with clams, peas and dill cream
  • Lamp rump with butterbean puree and salsa verde

Arrive – 9.30am for refreshments, meet and greet with the Chef Tutor and a run through of the day.

In the middle of the day we will break for lunch around the chef’s demonstration area. With many of the classes you will be tucking into the food you have cooked and for some we will provide dishes from The Kitchen restaurant, all accompanied with a glass of wine. During the day we will show you around our kitchen garden and pop into our beautiful greenhouse, introducing you to our gardeners if they are tending to the beds at the time.

Finish – 3.30pm, take home your creations and The Kitchen apron leaving the washing up for our cookery school team!
