Terms & Conditions

Flexible Cancellation: Our flexible 48-hour cancellation policy means you can cancel up to 48 hours of arrival with no charge. All we ask is that at the time of booking, you pay the first night’s room payment as a deposit to confirm your booking. Then, if you need to cancel your reservation, as long as you cancel by 3pm, 48 hours prior to arrival, we will refund you your entire deposit. If you cancel within 48 hours of arrival, we will charge you for each night booked. If we are able to re-sell the room, you will not be charged. 

For bookings of 7 rooms and 7 nights or more, a 14-day cancellation policy will apply, so as long as you cancel by 12pm 14 days prior to arrival, you will not be charged. If you do cancel within 14 days of arrival, you will be charged for each night booked. If we are able to sell any of the nights, you will not be charged for these.

For all bookings of the Yews Treehouse, a two night deposit will be taken and a 14-day cancellation policy will apply, so as long as you cancel by 12pm 14 days prior to arrival, you will not be charged. If you do cancel within 14 days of arrival, you will be charged for the first two night's payment. If we are able to sell any of the nights, you will not be charged for these.

You may wish to take out insurance cover.

Spa Cancellation: Cancellations must be made no later than 48 hours prior to appointment. If your appointment has to be cancelled or amended within 48 hours of arrival, we regret you will incur full charge.  If we will be able to re-sell, the charge will not apply. You may wish to consider taking out insurance cover.

Arrival & Departure: Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11.00hrs. Rooms are therefore not normally ready for occupancy before 15.00hrs. Should you wish to join us earlier to use the spa or enjoy our facilities, we will be delighted to store your luggage with the porter until the time that your bedrooms become available.

Smoking:  In order to protect both our guests and staff from the dangers of second-hand smoke, Chewton Glen operates a fully "no smoking" policy.  The restaurant, public areas, bar and all bedrooms are designated "No smoking" areas and should guests be found to smoke in these areas, a fine will be enforced. . Outdoor facilities are provided.

Service Charge: All accommodation bookings are subject to a 5% discretionary service charge whilst all other services are subject to a 12.5% discretionary service charge.

Dining for Children: Children under the age of 5 stay and eat free of charge (meals included are breakfast and dinner from the children’s menu). Children aged 6-12 years are charged for breakfast and dinner as per the children’s menu. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Packages do not include meals allowance for Children. 

Activities for Children: Our Kid’s Club can be arranged for Children of 5 years old and more at the time of the booking, all children must be potty trained if attending any Kids Club bookable Sessions, please speak to our reservations team as it is available on first come-first served basis and must be prebooked. Throughout the year, Children under the age of  17 years old can swim in the indoor pool if accompanied by an adult during Children swimming times. There will be no timing restrictions or pre-booking requirements for the hotel's outdoor swimming pool. Children under the age of 17 are not, for health and safety reasons, able to use the Gym, Sauna, Steam room, Hydrotherapy pool, hot tub within the Spa and the hot tubs on the decking area of the Treehouse suites.  The outdoor pool will be open from Good Friday (weather permitting) until October and there are no time restrictions for children or pre-booking requirements.

Children's swimming times: (09.00-10.30hrs and 16.00-17.30hrs).

Special requirements: We have made provisions for guests with disabilities and would be happy to discuss your requirements on request. If you have special mobility needs, please ask for a room on the ground floor when you book, as the hotel does not have a lift.  If you have hearing difficulties, let us know so that special arrangements can be made in the event of a fire alarm.

Dogs: Dogs are only allowed to stay in our Treehouse Suites. Should you wish to bring your four-legged friend with you, by prior arrangement, please refer to our Dog Policies by clicking here >> This will need to be signed and returned or brought with you prior to your stay. When dining with us your four-legged friend can join you at The Kitchen on the terrace, please let us know when you book so that we can arrange a table for you outside. Dogs must stay on a lead at all times and are not permitted within the hotel, restaurants and spa. 

To Guarantee Your Reservation Credit card details will be taken at the time of booking and the first nights' room payment will be required to secure your booking. All outstanding charges are to be settled on departure. On arrival, guests will be required to present the credit card they intend to use to settle their account. The credit card will be pre-authorised.

Hotel Policies: Check-in and Check-out Our priority is to have your room ready from 15.00 hours. Should you wish to join us earlier to use the spa or enjoy our facilities, we will be delighted to store your luggage with the porter until the time that your bedrooms become available.

Payment and Cancellation: All of our classes can be made online up to 48 hours prior to the class taking place. Full prepayment is required at the time of booking. Bookings are non-refundable or transferable should cancellation occur unless we are able to resell the space. We reserve the right to cancel classes should we need to for any reason. We will do our best to cover classes in the event our chef is unable to teach and will give as much notice to you as we can.  A full refund will be offered in this circumstance. If you are using a gift voucher, bookings need to be made with the reservations team directly.
