Rooms
Payment: To Guarantee Your Reservation Credit card details will be taken at the time of booking and the first nights' room payment will be required. All remaining charges are to be settled on departure. On arrival, guests will be required to present the credit card they intend to use to settle their account. The credit card will be pre-authorised. We are unable to charge the card used to secure the booking in absence of the card and the card Holder upon departure.
Flexible Cancellation: Our flexible 48-hour cancellation policy means you can cancel at no charge, as long as you cancel by 3pm, 48 hours prior to arrival your deposit will be automatically refunded. If you cancel within 48 hours of arrival, we will charge you for each night booked. If we are able to re-sell the room, you will not be charged.
For bookings of 7 rooms and 7 nights or more different Terms & Conditions apply - you will be contacted directly by our Meetings & Events Team with details of offer. Please note if you chose to make the group reservation online it will not be considered as confirmed until a contract with our Meetings & Events Team has been signed & deposit paid.

Special requirements: We have made provisions for guests with disabilities and would be happy to discuss your requirements on request. If you have special mobility needs, please ask for a room on the ground floor when you book, as the hotel does not have a lift. If you have hearing difficulties, let us know so that special arrangements can be made in the event of a fire alarm.
Arrival & Departure: Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11am. Our priority is to have your room ready from 3pm. Should you wish to join us earlier to use the spa or enjoy our facilities, we will be delighted to store your luggage with the porter until the time that your bedrooms become available.
Smoking: In order to protect both our guests and staff from the dangers of second-hand smoking, Chewton Glen operates a fully "no smoking" policy. The restaurant, public areas, bar and all bedrooms are designated "No smoking" areas and should guests be found to smoke in these areas, a fine will be enforced. Outdoor facilities are provided. You may wish to take out insurance cover.
Service Charge
All accommodation bookings are subject to a 5% discretionary service charge whilst all other services are subject to a 12.5% discretionary service charge.
Spa
Spa deposits and payments: We require full prepayment for Spa & Wellness Experiences at the time of booking, and 50% deposit for Spa Treatments, the final balance will be charged upon departure.
Spa Cancellation: Cancellations must be made no later than 12pm 48 hours, prior to appointment. If your appointment needs to be cancelled or amended within 48 hours of arrival, we regret you will incur full charge. If we are able to re-sell your booking to the same value, the charge will not apply. You may wish to consider taking out insurance cover.

Children
Dining for Children: Children under the age of 5 stay and eat free of charge (meals included are breakfast and dinner from the children’s menu). Children aged 6-12 years are charged for breakfast and dinner as per the children’s menu. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Packages do not include meals allowance for Children.
Activities for Children: Our Kid’s Club can be arranged for Children of 5 years old and more at the time of the booking, all children must be potty trained if attending any Kids Club Sessions, please speak to our reservations team as it is available on first come-first served basis and must be prebooked. Children under the age of 17 years old can swim in the indoor pool if accompanied by an adult during Children’s swimming times. There will be no timing restrictions or pre-booking requirements for the hotel's outdoor swimming pool.
Children under the age of 17 are not able to use the Gym, Sauna, Steam room, Hydrotherapy pool, hot tub within the Spa and the hot tubs on the decking area of the Treehouse suites.
Children's swimming times: (09.00-10.30hrs and 16.00-17.30hrs).

Dogs
Dogs are only allowed to stay in our Treehouse Suites. Should you wish to bring your four-legged friend with you, by prior arrangement, please refer to our Dog Policies by clicking here >> This will need to be signed and returned or brought with you prior to your stay. When dining with us your four-legged friend can join you at The Kitchen on the terrace, please let us know when you book so that we can arrange a table for you outside. Dogs must stay on a lead at all times and are not permitted within the hotel, restaurants and spa.
Cookery School
Cookery School Payment and Cancellation: All our classes can be booked online up to 24 hours prior to the class taking place. Full prepayment is required at the time of booking. Bookings are non-refundable or transferable should cancellation occur, unless we are able to resell the space. We reserve the right to cancel classes should we need to for any reason. We will do our best to offer alternative Tutors for classes in the event our leading Chef Tutor is unable to teach and will give as much notice to you as we can. A full refund will be offered in these circumstances. If you are using a gift voucher, bookings need to be made with the reservations team directly.
Guest Property Liability Guidance for Guests Booking
Overnight Accommodation: Guests are strongly advised to store valuables in the safe provided in their bedroom. For those guests carrying high value items they may wish to use the Hotel’s reception safe. For items stored in the Hotel safe the company cannot accept liability of any items in excess of GBP 75,000 total value per guest. In exceptional circumstances the Company reserves the right to request guests place items with a security company whilst staying at the Hotel. If in any doubt, please contact concierge or reception. Bedroom Safes Liability limited to a total value of £1,500 per safe per bedroom Guidance on general liability for guest property.
WiFi
This agreement sets out the terms and conditions on which wireless internet access (Service) is provided free of charge to you, the user, by Chewton Glen (us, we, our). By using and/or clicking on the agree button you are accepting the terms and conditions contained in this agreement.
Providing the service
Your use of the internet is at your own risk. We have no control over, and are not responsible for the websites (or other internet services) that you may access whilst using the Service. As such, we do not provide any assurance that these websites or services are error or virus free;
The Service is provided as is. We do not warrant that the Service is secure or that it is fit for any particular purpose. We do not and cannot provide any assurances that any particular virtual private network will be compatible with the Service.
• We have no responsibility for, or control over, the information you transmit or receive via the Service, therefore it your responsibility to ensure the security and confidentiality of any information or data that you transmit over the internet using the Service.
• When you access websites of third parties you may be bound by separate terms and agreements. You should ensure that you make yourself aware of the content of these terms and it is therefore your responsibility to ensure that you are compliant with them.
• We are not responsible for the content, advice or any statements or representations made by third parties on their website(s). It is your responsibility to evaluate this content for yourself.
• The Service will only be available to your equipment when it is within range of our WiFi

• Except for the purposes of network diagnostics we do not examine the use to which you put the Service or the nature of the information you send or receive. We may keep a log of the Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses of any devices which access the Service, the times when they have accessed the Service and the activity associated with that IP address
• While we will attempt to maintain the Service we cannot, and do not, guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, or at what speed. It is your responsibility to provide all hardware required to access the Service; we do not, however, guarantee that your equipment will be compatible with the Service.
• We reserve the right at all times to withdraw the Service, or change the specifications or manner of use of it.
Your use of the service
The Service is provided on the understanding that you do not use it to access or distribute material which:
defamatory, threatening, or which could be classed as harassment;
contains obscene (including pornographic material), offensive or abusive language or material;
constitutes or is capable of constituting a criminal offence, whether in the United Kingdom or elsewhere; or in our reasonable opinion, may adversely affect the manner in which we carry out our business.
You should refrain from downloading music, video, pictures, text and other content (Works) unless you are certain that you have the permission of the owner of the Works to do so. Without such permission you may be in breach of the owner's right in copyright (or otherwise) to the Works that you have downloaded.
We may terminate or temporarily suspend the Service if we believe that you are in breach of any of the provisions of this agreement.
