Welcome to "Fire & Flavour", the ultimate in-person cooking experience, where the smoke is real and the flavours are fierce. Whether you are a garden griller or a flame fanatic, this class dives deep into barbecue culture with a modern twist - think wood smoke, big marinades and next level searing.
We will explore essential barbeque techniques from dry rubs to brines, indirect cooking, and using smoke for maximum depth. Expect vibrant sides, juicy mains and a few saucy surprises. It is bold, it is messy, it is ridiculously tasty. Great for: Foodies, meat lovers, flexitarians and anyone who loves to cook and eat around fire.

- Hands on grilling techniques: direct vs. indirect heat
- How to use wood chips for smoking, even without a smoker
- Making dry rubs, marinades & glazes from scratch
- Barbecue timing and temperature tips
- Loads of tasting and a relaxed, social vibe; with vegetarian friendly options available

Course Overview
Please arrive 15 minutes before the class begins for refreshments and registration to ensure the class begins on time.
Cookery classes include a mixture of hands-on cooking and demonstrations to help you get the most out of your time with us.
Sit down at the end of your class to enjoy the dishes you have created, accompanied with a refreshment to reward your hard work.
Any food that you have created that you do not wish to eat on the day can be packaged up for you to take home with you. We will provide you with containers to take food home and bags to carry them in, however in the interest of sustainability we encourage you to bring your own from home.
Take home your new found knowledge and skills from the class, along with The Kitchen Apron and Recipe Pack as a souvenir of your time at the cookery school!
Course Dishes
Sticky Chipotle Barbecue Chicken Thighs - Marinated in smoky chipotle, seared over flames, then glazed with a tangy homemade barbecue sauce.
Smoked Paprika & Maple Pork Ribs - Slow cooked & finished on the grill for that tender pull apart bite & caramelised crust.
Charred Halloumi & Vegetable Skewers - Grilled halloumi, courgette, red onion & peppers brushed with lemon herb marinade.
Smoked Corn with Chilli Lime Butter - Corn grilled in husks then slathered in spicy lime butter with a pinch of smoked sea salt.
Bourbon & Brown Sugar Bananas - Bananas grilled in foil with butter, brown sugar & bourbon.
Things to know
In the majority of cases we will be able to adjust dishes to accommodate all dietary requirements so please let our reservation team know before you book or on your web booking. There are a very few classes that cannot successfully be adapted to accommodate a certain dietary requirement. If this is the case we will be more than happy to recommend a class to suit your needs.
